Professor Matthew David Goodwin
I’m an Assistant Professor of English at the University of Puerto Rico in Cayey. My research is centered on the experience of migration, in particular how Latinx writers are using science fiction to explore migration. I am the editor of Latin@ Rising: An Anthology of Latin@ Science Fiction and Fantasy as well as the forthcoming young adult collection The Latinx Archive: Speculative Fiction for Dreamers. Currently, I teach courses on Latina/o Literature, U.S. Puerto Rican Literature, Latina/o Science Fiction, and Multi-Ethnic Science Fiction.
I am also currently engaged in research on the use of virtual reality in education. Please contact me if you are interested in getting involved!
